Our Mission

Geshe Michael Roach, Will Duncan and Mercedes Bahleda founded Star in the East (SIE)

with the intention to reinvigorate the Wisdom branch of Christianity. Inspired by the New

Testament and ancient Buddhist Scriptures dating back to the time of Christ, SIE teaches

the principles of Karma and Emptiness, Love and Wisdom, to both Christian and Buddhist

audiences. SIE workshops offer authentic training in Deep Prayer and Meditation to help

people embody true compassion and how to become more Christ-like beings here on earth.
